2008 Showing Clinic
Dear Cutting Friend,
I have been blessed to have an overflowing response to my showing clinic at the end of March. So, to accommodate those of you who were interested to attend that March
clinic and couldn’t get a spot (thank you for that!) … or, perhaps are contacting me for the first time about a showing clinic … I have scheduled another one in May.
THE SHOWING CLINIC
Showing Clinic application form (Adobe .PDF format)
May 21-23, 2008, at Guzman 2N Ranch in Brenham, Texas
The showing clinic, designed for intermediate to advanced riders, has all the same elements as every showing clinic I do.
It will also include the new twist that I incorporated in March.
The Guzman 2N Ranch session of the clinic begins at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21st and extends through the morning session only on Friday, May 23rd.
You will learn technical, as well as mental skills, related to showing. Therefore, you must have at least one trained and tuned show horse ready to show upon arrival.
The preparation of your horse should be the same as attending a major cutting event like Fort Worth, Amarillo, or an Area Work-off. Clinic mornings will be spent exploring showmanship skills,
as well as experiencing a show run. The afternoons will include another show run, a video viewing session, followed by a tune-up of your horse to prepare for showing the next day.
Then, on Friday afternoon, May 23rd, we will go to a show held at Nueces Canyon Ranch (also in Brenham) for a Non-pro or Amateur class. Once you have completed your showing on
Friday afternoon, we will gather at the show and wrap things up. You will be free to head home or show more.
This clinic is limited to fifteen people. Please download the clinic application here.
Kindest regards,
Barbra
